Nutritionists

Clinical Nutrition is the central element of healthcare. It is the most important tool we have to influence our own health and really should be a primary care specialty.

Based on advanced academic degrees (Masters of Science or Doctorate level), Functional Nutrition is deeply rooted in cellular biochemistry and an ideal addition to Allopathic-, Naturopathic-, Integrative- and Functional Medicine.

Medical Doctors, Osteopathic Physicians, Chiropractic Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Dentists do not usually receive sufficient nutritional training as part of their medical education.

But with Nutrition being the centerpiece of health and our most important contributor to optimal well-being, we can not afford to ignore it any longer…

Certified Nutrition Specialists

The minimum qualification for a Certified Nutrition Specialist is an advanced graduate degree from an accredited University (MS, DCN, DHSc, PhD) with a minimum of 3-4 years of specialized nutritional training, plus 1000 hours of clinical internships and continuous education, leading to a deep understanding of chemical pathways, nutritional requirements for optimized metabolism in different stages of life, activities, genders, genetic backgrounds and diseases.

Our work is based on the scientific concept of homeostasis, which is the ideal metabolic functioning that our bodies are constantly trying to attain.

Considering the complexity of the human organism, the ideal healthcare team consists of Naturopathic-, Functional- and Integrative Physicians in addition to Acupuncturists, advanced Clinical Nutritionists, Health Coaches, Medical Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Brain trainers, Trauma and Stress Therapists and other advanced healthcare professionals complementing each other with their unique knowledge, tools, skills, perspective and clinical experience.
